Firearms Education Resources
Just like everything else, the amount of firearms related information on the internet is unbelievable. Finding a place to start can be overwhelming. These are some of my favorite resources to get you started!
Learn Online
For the most basic intro into handguns, Sig Sauer has done an incredible job creating educational resources to go along with their Rose by Sig Sauer line. On the Rose by Sig Sauer YouTube page they have a playlist with 14 short videos going over the basics. While these videos really highlight the Rose by Sig Sauer handguns, the basic information is applicable to most handguns.
Just like Sig Sauer has done for the Rose handgun series. They have a whole series for The Sig Sauer M400 Rose rifle. In this series, the information is generally applicable to all AR-15 style rifles! This YouTube playlist has 14 videos covering the basics of the Rose rifle.
Learn in Person
While you can learn a ton of information online, nothing beat good in-person training. Two of my favorite firearms instructors Lena Miculek and Tatiana Whitlock travel the country offering instruction at local ranges. Check out their schedules to find something near you. But if you're up for a road trip. The Sig Sauer Experience Center in Epping, New Hampshire is a top notch facility with classes for all levels.
If you're in Ohio check out these two top-notch ranges that off a huge range of training opportunities in facilities like no other!
Elite Preparedness - Just an hour from Columbus offer a multitude of different classes from training complete beginners to government agencies. With indoor and outdoor facilities and a live fire shooting house! They even offer personal training if you're nervous to start in a class setting.
The Cardinal Center - Less than an hour from Columbus has a huge range of facilities and offers education from handguns to shotguns.
